Abstract

In Dentistry, as well as in other areas of knowledge, information and communication technologies (ICT) constitute tools of increasing importance, allowing the use of new educational media that enable students to exercise their capacity of searching and selecting information, learning independently and solving problems. Dentists, regardless of their areas of interest, must be able to use those technologies for their professional development. The authors review the specialized literature on the potentialities of the use of ICT in dental education.
